HIGHLAND HOMME
TALLY-HO
I looked to the equestrian world and the rich history of hunting and attempted to capture its nuances, strong sense of tradition and the unique identity that it carries.
I was particularly interested in the evolution in how women have ridden horses. Having originally sat sideways, when women first began riding astride their horses it marked a break in a tradition. The symbolic impact was immense. To mark this evolution, I designed a reversible vest dress and matching riding pants. When worn as a dress, the vest suggests a historical sideways mount. When worn as a vest however, it allows for the modern forward facing riding position.
